During his tenure as the National Chair of IABC, he recruited thousands of members, held large-scale networking events that allowed members to make meaningful professional connections, and partnered with state and national lawmakers to advance business-focused legislation.
Prior to co-founding Chicago’s Federation of Indian Association, there was no dedicated space for Indian-Americans to build professional relationships. As a minority, Neil understands the feeling of being “othered” — so creating this community was of utmost importance. He also had the great honor of receiving Cook County’s Asian Pacific Islander Heritage award twice (in 2019 and 2020) due to his continued advocacy. Most recently, he was honored as the AAPI Person of the Year by the Village of Hoffman Estates, IL; Schaumburg, IL; and Oak Brook, IL.
In the next stage of his career, Neil is focused on sharing his expertise with the world and empowering the next generation. He regularly shares thought leadership content on LinkedIn, speaks at conferences, and is spotlighted as a community leader. He was recently honored by the House of Representatives for his contributions to female empowerment and the South Asian community.
