Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar was born on July 15, 1970, in Litavali, a village in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Raised in a family with a military background, she imbibed values of discipline, service, and patriotism from an early age. Despite the challenges of growing up in a rural environment, she displayed a keen interest in education and literature.
Anjana’s academic journey began at the local Kanya Pathshala in her village, where she received her primary education. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher studies at Allahabad University, where she completed her graduation. Subsequently, she obtained her post-graduation degree from Kanpur University and went on to earn a Ph.D. in History from Shikohabad University.
Transition from Government Service to Literature:
After completing her education, Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar joined the Central Government of India, where she served diligently for several years. However, her true passion lay in literature and she harboured dreams of becoming a prolific writer and poet. Despite the security and prestige of her government job, she made the bold decision to retire voluntarily and pursue her literary aspirations full-time.
This transition marked a significant turning point in Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar’s life. Liberated from the constraints of bureaucracy, she devoted herself entirely to her writing. Literary Achievements:
Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar’s literary journey is characterized by prolificacy, versatility, and excellence. She made her debut as a poet with her first poetry collection, “Mann Ke Pankh”, which was published shortly after her retirement from government service. This collection garnered widespread acclaim and established her as a promising voice in contemporary Hindi poetry.
Subsequently, Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar continued to produce an impressive body of work, spanning various genres and styles. Her second masterpiece, “Jugnoo Ki Jung”, further solidified her reputation as a poet of immense talent and depth. She also ventured into Urdu poetry with her collection, “Agar Tum Mujhse Keh Dete”, showcasing her proficiency in multiple languages and poetic forms. Her other books include “Hichikya Anjana Ki”(Hindi Poetry Collection), “Doha-Satsai”, “Vidigdh Vandevi” — khand kavya, “Janmanas ke Maharaj-CM Yogiadityanath”, “Yaadon ki Riyaasat”-Gazal collection and “Gandhi ji and Communal Harmony- a critical analysis”.
Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar has edited various top level magzines and book including Pt. Shyam Narayan Pandey Granthavali in four volumes. Her work and interviews has published in country’s top leading newspapers and magazines.
Based on her work, two books were published: “Anjana Ek Shakhsiyat Ek Shayara”, featuring reviews of her work by 25 literati, and “Anjana ek Vyaktitva ek Kavyitri”, featuring reviews by 20. Several research papers and critiques on her work have also been published by researchers and academicians.
Over the years, Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar’s literary oeuvre has grown to encompass a wide range of themes, from love and longing to patriotism and social justice. Chairperson of Sanskar Global School, badged a record in “Guinness Book World Record” and “Golden Book of the World Record.
In her efforts to improve the well-being of underserved communities, she established Sanskar Hospital in Pratapgarh.

Some of the notable awards and honors conferred upon Dr. Anjana Singh Sengar include the Firaq Gorakhpuri Samman from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Hindi Seva Samman from the International Hindi Committee of the United States of America and the 8th Asian Literary Excellence Award.
