Manoj Tyagi was born in the capital city of India, Delhi in March 1972. He is an Indian media professional specializing in spiritual TV content for more than two decades. When he joined Sankar TV, he had only two TV channels to lead, but under his leadership now Sanskar TV group can boast of having a bouquet of TV Channels namely Sanskar TV, Satsang TV, Shubh TV, Shubh Cinema, Sanskar Nepal, Sanskar USA & Sanskar UK. He also spearheaded the digital movement within the company and within a couple of years Sanskar TV group’s devotional content became highly popular commanding a huge base of subscribers on several social media & OTT platforms, giving easy access of devotional content to the audience throughout the world managing over 20 channels.
EARLY LIFE
Son of an officer with the Government of India press, Manoj completed his schooling from Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School, Shahdara, Delhi andthen got hooked to his passion for photography which later became his profession. He was also a state level swimmer and spent a couple of years of hisearly life as a swimming coach in a Delhi school.
PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
In 1997 Manoj started to work as a devotional content provider for India’s pioneer Satellite TV channel Zee TV / Zee News. One of the most popular TV series produced by him was KAAL KAPAAL MAHAKAAL which was broadcast on Zee News channel in the year 2014–15 and was always on top of the charts. This program showcased an in-depth account of the life and practices of various sects like Agoris, Naath, Shakyas etc. who practice peculiar customs.
Prior to his association with Aastha & Sanskar TV group, Mr. Manoj Tyagi owned media companies “Chinu Productions” and “Chinu Films Pvt. Ltd.” which is now being run by his family. Along with video production & broadcast equipment supply, these media ventures are also into Event Management and Artist Management globally.
In the past three decades Manoj created a huge library of spiritual / devotional content and this triggered the idea of starting a spiritual web platform where he could place all the devotional content for future generations and thus www.totalbhakti.com was born, which was India’s first web platform for all the spiritual gurus/ sadhus with a wide variety of spiritual content. Online visitors from all over the world enjoy free audio and video content of well-known spiritual Gurus, Saints, Preachers, and Pundits. One can watch videos, listen to audio in form of Bhajan, kirtans and discourses in more than 15 different Indian languages. This website also provides knowledge of Yoga, Vedic Culture, Hinduism, and other spiritual teachings from the Land of Spirituality — India.
A close confidant of Swami Ramdev & Acharya Balkishan, Manoj was assigned key positions to manage several verticals of Vedic Broadcasting Ltd. and group companies such as Aastha, Aastha Bhajan, Arihant from the year 2000–2015.
In the year 2016, Manoj was asked to take full control of Sanskar TV & Satsang TV along with other TV channels under the Aastha group umbrella. In 2016 itself, he was installed as the CEO of Sanskar TV and within a year he spearheaded the launch of Sanskar TV in the United Kingdom & Europe.
AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS
Manoj Tyagi is a well-known personality in the devotional content industry who shares a very personal rapport with top-of-the-line Indian sages / saints / gurus and spiritual organizations in India and abroad. For his dedicated commitment in spreading the Sanatan Dharma across the globe, he has been honored by many spiritual gurus and organizations in India & abroad. To mention a few, he was honored by “The World Book of Records”, London in 2019 for promoting spiritual & Vedic wisdom across the globe at the Mayor’s Office, Harrow, London. Another feather to his cap was added when he received the Happiness Ambassador award at the House of Commons, London in recognition of his extraordinary and exemplary work for the communities. In April 2022, The United Kingdom-based World Book of Records also felicitated Sankar TV channel for doing pioneering work in the field of spreading the ideas of Sanatan Dharma globally. The award was received by Sanskar TV CEO Manoj Tyagi in the presence of officials from the UK embassy. Later, he was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by ISSC, Harrow, London at the British Parliament in recognition of his dedicated contributions and continued service to various communities. Under the able leadership of Mr. Manoj Tyagi, Sanskar TV was also honored by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India with the “Best Media Coverage of Yoga in Electronic Media” in 2019 and in February 2020 the channel received another award at ET awards Mumbai — the “Best Business Brand” award.
