Bharat Gaurav Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis - Social Worker
Amruta Fadnavis is a multifaceted personality whose journey seamlessly weaves together art, leadership, and social impact. In a world that often celebrates singular identities, Amruta Fadnavis stands as a rare embodiment of multidimensional excellence. Her journey is not defined by one path, but by the seamless harmony of many - music, sports, global advocacy, and deeply rooted social impact. A trained classical singer with a voice that carries both emotion and intent, and a former state-level tennis player who mastered discipline early in life, she represents a rare blend of grace and strength.
Music has been one of her most powerful mediums of expression. From performing at prestigious charity platforms like “Umang” for the welfare of Mumbai Police to lending her voice to socially driven projects, her art has consistently transcended entertainment. Her debut as a playback singer in the film Jai Gangajal, under the direction of Prakash Jha, marked the beginning of a musical journey that would go on to create both cultural and emotional resonance. Songs like Phir Se, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, captured widespread attention and appreciation, while her rendition of the Shiv Tandav Stotram achieved phenomenal reach, touching millions within days of its release. Her music often reflects deeper narratives—stories of resilience, devotion, and social consciousness—whether it is through songs dedicated to acid attack survivors, corona warriors, or the preservation of cultural heritage.
Her presence, however, is not confined to artistic spaces. Amruta Fadnavis has emerged as a compelling global voice, representing India on influential international platforms. From participating in the National Prayer Breakfast in the United States to speaking at global forums such as the Dubai Expo and the UK Parliament, she has consistently advocated for environmental sustainability, peace diplomacy, and cross-cultural dialogue. Her walk at the Cannes Film Festival was not merely a moment of glamour, but a statement—using visibility to champion sustainability and responsible global citizenship. Similarly, her association with New York Fashion Week as a showstopper for causes like handloom promotion and girl child education reflects her commitment to blending culture with purpose.
At the core of her journey lies an unwavering dedication to social transformation. Her initiatives are not symbolic—they are deeply rooted, long-term, and impact-driven. By adopting villages such as Fetri and Kawdas, she has worked towards building sustainable ecosystems that enable economic growth and self-reliance. Her collaborations with organizations like the BMC and Maharashtra State Women’s Commission have resulted in meaningful programs that address real challenges—from the welfare of sanitation workers and labour communities to the empowerment of acid attack survivors through initiatives like Sakshama.
Her flagship projects, including Mitti Ke Sitare, have created platforms for underprivileged children to discover and nurture their talent, ensuring that opportunity is not limited by circumstance. Meanwhile, Project Disha continues to empower women from marginalized communities with skill development and employment opportunities, fostering independence and dignity. Her efforts extend into education, where she has facilitated book donation drives, built libraries, and supported access to learning for underserved communities.
In times of adversity, her leadership has been both immediate and impactful. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she spearheaded relief initiatives that reached nearly 100,000 individuals, providing essential supplies, healthcare support, and nutritional aid. Her contributions extended from supporting police personnel and frontline workers to organizing food distribution in rural regions and initiating blood donation drives. Her work during crises reflects not just responsiveness, but a deep sense of responsibility towards society.
Her commitment to holistic well-being is evident through initiatives that address both physical and mental health. From organizing yoga sessions for children of distressed farming communities to conducting mental wellness workshops, she has consistently emphasized the importance of inner strength and balance. Her programs for menstrual hygiene awareness, women’s health, and child safety education further highlight her comprehensive approach to community development.

Campaigns like “Bachche Bole Morya” during Ganesh Chaturthi demonstrate her innovative approach to combining tradition with sustainability, engaging younger generations in meaningful action.
Beyond her initiatives, Amruta Fadnavis’s journey is also reflected in the recognition she has received across global platforms. From humanitarian awards and international honors to accolades at Cannes and global economic conventions, each recognition is a reflection of her multifaceted impact. Yet, what truly defines her is not the awards, but the intent behind her work—a consistent effort to create change that is both meaningful and lasting.
Amruta Fadnavis is not just a personality; she is a movement—one that harmonizes art with advocacy, influence with responsibility, and ambition with compassion. Her story is a reminder that true success lies not in personal milestones alone, but in the lives one touches, the voices one amplifies, and the change one inspires.

It required trust, diplomacy, and a clear vision, creating a space where organisations could work collectively while maintaining their individual identities. The result has been stronger coordination for national celebrations, community responses, and shared initiatives that reflect the true diversity of the Indian community in New Zealand.
What sets Narendra apart is not just the number of roles he has held, but the intent behind them. He has consistently focused on building systems that last. Whether it is improving governance practices, advocating for transparent processes, or ensuring that organisations are better prepared for the future. His work during key moments, including national events and community challenges, reflects a calm and thoughtful approach, always putting the collective interest first.
Beyond formal positions, Narendra is widely regarded as someone who leads with integrity and accessibility. He is known for mentoring emerging leaders, encouraging collaboration, and fostering a culture where service is valued above recognition. His ability to connect with people from grassroots volunteers to senior leaders has been central to his effectiveness.

Narendra Bhana’s story is ultimately one of service with purpose. He has helped shape not just organisations, but a stronger, more connected community. Through steady leadership, thoughtful governance, and a genuine commitment to bringing people together, he has left an enduring mark on the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.

Together, they built a life rooted in values of service and giving back. As their family grew with children, Agnivesh and Priya, son in law Akarsh, granddaughter Mahii in who Kiran found a new muse —her role as a ‘Nani.’
It was through storytelling to her granddaughter that the seeds of WOKA – World of Kiran Agarwal were sown. Like grandmothers of yesteryear who passed down wisdom through tales, she saw storytelling as a way to bridge generations. But she envisioned something larger: a world where every child, regardless of background, could feel nurtured, entertained, and morally anchored.
Inspired by the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family—Kiran created WOKA to help children reconnect with their roots in an age of screens, distractions, and shrinking family units. She began with short stories infused with Indian values, and over time, these evolved into beautiful animated films filled with music, color, and characters that captivated young hearts.
WOKA grew into a multi-dimensional platform, o ering books on culture, sanskar, and rituals from India’s 26 states—a cultural encyclopedia for modern parents. From prayer guides and shlokas for daily recitation, to books that explore festivals and rites of passage, Kiran’s vision has always been about preserving the essence of Indian identity in a modern world.
Her husband’s philosophy—“Life is not just about me, mine, and myself”—became a guiding light. The charitable ethos behind Vedanta’s Nandgharinitiative resonated deeply with WOKA’s mission: to raise a generation of children who are respectful, fearless, rooted, and morally strong.
In just 6 months, WOKA has touched over 10 million lives. Today, WOKA is a one-roof platform combining clean and enriching entertainment: live music, karaoke, TV, games, audiobooks, and even beloved outdoor classics like gillidanda and pithu.
